Meet Your Coach
I’ve been in your shoes! For the longest time, I thought I was fuelling my body to support my running and health. However, little did I know I was actually running away from food, my thoughts and underselling my body. Training fasted, limiting certain foods and restricting was causing me to crumble into a world of eating disorders.
My struggles with food started very young at 10 years, whilst I was a swimmer I thought that in order to be faster I needed to be smaller. I started to struggle with a dysfunctional relationship with food, restrictive tendencies and trying to control food as I didn't know how to express how I was feeling. During adolescence as a runner and into my early 20s, I struggled with anorexia, disordered eating and a deep loss of who I really was. Over a span of 18 years, I struggled with food rules, preoccupation, and chronic disordered and restrictive eating patterns.
